Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health, a pioneer in outpatient substance use treatment since 1973, is seeking a visionary and hands-on Executive Director to lead our Cumberland, MD center. As the Executive Director, you’ll be the driving force behind day-to-day operations, clinical delivery, and strategic growth. You’ll guide a dedicated team, influence the future of care in your region, and represent Kolmac’s values in the community. As the Executive Director, you will be the strategic and operational leader of the Cumberland clinic, ensuring excellence in clinical care, team performance, and business outcomes. This role offers a unique blend of high-level leadership and hands-on management in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Lead a High-Performing Team: Directly oversee all clinical and administrative staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Provide regular supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Own Operational Success: Manage the day-to-day operations of the center, including scheduling, staffing, patient flow, facility needs, and administrative functions. Ensure operational efficiency and adherence to internal protocols.
Deliver Financial Results: Maintain and manage the center’s Profit & Loss (P&L) statement. Work with finance and senior leadership to set financial goals, develop budgets, monitor spending, and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Lead the center in maintaining compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards (CARF, Medicaid, etc.). Partner with compliance and quality teams to ensure readiness for audits and site reviews.
Support Community Engagement and Outreach: Represent Kolmac in the local community by developing partnerships with referring providers, hospitals, advocacy groups, and government agencies. Attend and participate in events to promote visibility and referrals.
Drive Strategic Growth: Contribute to business development efforts including new program launches, payer contracting support, and patient census expansion. Use KPIs and performance data to make informed decisions that align with organizational strategy.
Lead Change and Innovation: Champion new initiatives and process improvements to enhance patient experience, clinical outcomes, and staff satisfaction. Ensure smooth implementation of corporate initiatives and adapt them to the local environment.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with regional leadership, HR, finance, training, real estate, and IT teams to ensure site alignment with company-wide goals and systems.
Maintain a Culture of Accountability and Support: Promote professional development, recognize performance, and address issues proactively. Build a resilient and engaged team that is proud to serve patients.
Contribute to Program Development: Help design and implement new clinical programming that supports patient needs and expands Kolmac’s offerings, including MAT (medication-assisted treatment), group therapy, and dual diagnosis care.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health or healthcare-related field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or multi-site healthcare
Strong background in clinical programming, team management, and budget oversight
Working knowledge of CARF standards, state regulations, and financial operations (including Profit and Loss responsibility)
Familiarity with community drug trends, co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based therapeutic models
A strategic mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Clinical supervisory credentials (preferred)

Competitive base salary starting at $90,000 (commensurate with experience, education, and licensure)
Quarterly bonus eligibility of up to 20% base salary
